“Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education” training class in Thuong Tin criteria: What is the core task of educational innovation?
Artificial intelligence is developing rapidly. In the context of digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) becoming an inevitable trend in the education sector, the Department of Education and Training of Thuong Tin District, in collaboration with ABM, organized a training event titled “Application of AI in Teaching and Management in the Education Sector” on August 23 and 24.
This is part of the project “For a Vietnam that Popularizes AI,” aimed at helping teachers and education administrators grasp and implement the necessary skills in applying AI to their daily work.
Digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI): A New Direction for Education
According to the guidelines from the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) on the task of applying IT and digital transformation for the 2024-2025 school year, one of the key tasks is to enhance the application of information technology and artificial intelligence in education. This includes building an education sector database, implementing Learning Management Systems (LMS), developing digital learning materials, and using AI to support teaching, learning, and educational management.
The series of Zoom Online events and the 2-day in-person training in Thuong Tin District have provided nearly 3,000 teachers and education administrators with basic knowledge and skills on the application of AI in teaching.
Mr. Nguyễn Như Ý, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thường Tín District, shared: “We expect that through this training course, managers, teachers, and staff will quickly adapt to the new requirements and integrate artificial intelligence applications into their work practices.” In the future, we hope that ABM will continue to support the enhancement of knowledge in using artificial intelligence for school staff, teachers, and employees.”In the future, we hope ABM will continue to support enhancing the knowledge of using artificial intelligence for teachers and staff in schools.”
Positive feedback from the teaching community
Ms. Lai Thi Anh Tuyet, a teacher at Hoa Sen Kindergarten, expressed her satisfaction: “Truly, this AI tool is something new.” When I was introduced to and shown how to use this tool, I was very surprised because it met all our expectations. AI helps us simplify many steps to create an electronic lesson, while also sparking many creative ideas.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Minh Hải, a teacher at Hà Hồi Primary School, said: “When I registered for the course, I hoped to use AI technology to support my teaching more effectively.” After participating, with the enthusiastic and professional guidance of the ABM team, I feel that AI has become more familiar to me, and I am completely confident in creating effective lesson plans that suit my teaching work.”After participating, with the enthusiastic and professional guidance of the ABM team, I feel that AI has become more familiar, and I am completely confident in creating effective lesson plans that suit my teaching work.”
Results and future expectations
The Văn Hóa newspaper summarized the events of the past two days, showing positive and encouraging signals.
The application of AI technology in education has brought many clear benefits, from improving the quality of teaching to optimizing the educational management process. The training event not only helps teachers grasp advanced AI tools but also raises awareness about digital transformation in education.
According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training, digital transformation activities in education need to be continued vigorously, especially the use of AI to support teaching and management, develop digital learning materials, and create a safe and effective learning environment.
The “For a Vietnam with Universal AI” program by ABM has been and continues to contribute to building a modern, innovative, and advanced education system. It is expected that the program will continue to expand and be implemented in many other provinces and cities, providing learning and development opportunities for thousands of teachers nationwide.
